What happens after I submit a quote request?A member of our team will contact you to confirm details, usually within a few minutes.

How do I pay?We will send you a secure payment link via email. This will bring you to the Stripe payment gateway.

If I pay by card are my details secure?100% Secure. We will never ask you for your card details nor do we store them. Payment is made via secure link. Our payment processor, Stripe, is certified PCI level 1 compliant. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Can I track my delivery?Yes. You will be provided with a link to track your delivery.

Are there items I cannot ship?Yes. There are a number of items which are prohibited. For a full list click here.

What is volumetric pricing?Volumetric pricing is a method of determining cost based on the volume or amount of space that a shipment occupies, rather than its actual weight. At Cyclone, we use volumetric pricing to offer a fair and accurate pricing model, especially for items that are bulky but relatively lightweight. This approach ensures that customers are charged based on the space their items take up during shipping rather than just their weight, which is particularly beneficial for items which are large but light. To calculate the volumetric price, we measure the dimensions (length, width, and height) of the package in centimeters, multiply these together, and use a conversion factor to determine the volumetric weight. Our professional staff is trained to assist customers in understanding these calculations and providing exact quotes based on the volumetric pricing model. This ensures transparency and fairness in our pricing structure, allowing our clients to know exactly what they are paying for, and helps maintain our ethos of providing high-quality, reliable services.

Are there size & weight limits?Yes there are both size & weight limits which apply. No single item can be heavier than 25KG or larger than 80cm X 80cm X 80cm.

What if I need to send more than one item. Can you do this?Yes. Our quick quote form is designed to be fast and easy to use. Should you need to send multiple items simply email us at info@cyclone.ie with the details and we'll get back to you immediately with a price.

What are the procedures regarding customs - how does it work?There are three fundamental rules which apply: Goods shipped within the EU are not liable for any customs charges. Goods being shipped to or from outside the EU may be liable for customs charges. Documents are not subject to customs charges. If you are shipping to or from non EU countries the customs authorities at the country of entry will determine if and how much duty & taxes are applicable. If your goods have an intrinsic value (the value of the goods alone excluding transport, insurance and handling charges) of less than €150, you will not have to pay Customs Duty. These are known as low value consignments. These monetary limits apply to the whole consignment or order, not just one item. NB Under-valuing items does not mean they will be exempt from customs inspections or charges.

I have heard there can be problems shipping electronic items with Lithium Ion batteries. Is that true?We can ship electronic goods with Lithium Ion batteries such as mobile phones & laptops BUT a maximum of 2 per consignment applies. For example, if you needed to send 3 phones to an overseas address, it must be split across 2 consignments/bookings.

Do customs charges apply to all items, new & used?Yes. All goods travelling outside the EU, new or used, can be subject to customs charges.

Do I have to fill out customs forms?No. We will take care of all required documentation. You must, however, provide us with accurate information.

Do I have to print off labels?Label printing is only required for collections outside Ireland.

What happens if my goods are stopped by customs?The local customs authority will decide if duty and taxes are due. We have no control over this. In the event that duties must be paid,our shipping partner will contact you and/or the recipient immediately.

Can I insure my items?Yes, additional insurance cover is available.

How long will my shipment take to arrive?Most UK, European & East Coast USA cities are next working day.
